Abstract:This study explores intervention pathways for developmental adjustment disorders among college freshmen within the theoretical framework of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy(SFBT).Taking freshman"C"as a case example—who experienced cognitive conflicts due to two college entrance exam failures, manifesting as a lack of academic self-efficacy,social avoidance, and anxiety-related somatic reactions—the counselor guided the client to set positive goals using the miracle question technique.Scaling questions were employed to encourage incremental behavioral changes.Through self-observation and small-step actions, the client gradually achieved self-empowerment and identity reconstruction. The practical paradigm adopted in this case provides a new path for mental health education of freshmen in colleges and universities and has reference value for improving the psychological crisis early warning system.
