Theoretical Foundation,Core Essence and Contemporary Value of Xi Jinping's View of Happiness

Abstract：Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),General Secretary Xi Jinping has delivered a series of important speeches on"happiness"on various occasions,forming a theorized and systematic View of Happiness in the New Era.This view is grounded in the dialectical materialist philosophy of Marxist view of happiness,embodies cultural genes derived from the ethical wisdom of"the world is for the public"and"people as compatriots and all things as friends"in fine traditional Chinese culture,and is rooted in the political tradition of"seeking happiness for the people"forged during the CPC's century-long struggle.Characterized by rich connotations and a complete structure,Xi Jinping's View of Happiness focuses on addressing three core questions:"for whom to create happiness","what kind of happiness to create",and"how to create and realize happiness".It encompasses three value dimensions:the people-centered view of happiness,the overall view of happiness,and the view of happiness through struggle,thus boasting significant contemporary value.As a distinctive theoretical paradigm,it has opened up a new realm for happiness studies and provided Chinese wisdom with Chinese characteristics for advancing the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind in the context of global governance.
