Abstract:A visible-light-driven Co/BiVO4 photocatalyst was synthesized via a hydrothermal method using Co(NO3)2·6H2O as the cobalt source.SEM and XRD analyses revealed that Co doping influences the micro-morphology of the material, resulting in sharp diffraction peaks with narrow full width at half maximum(FWHM)and high crystallinity.XPS results confirmed the coexistence of Co3+and Co2+in the Co/BiVO4 structure. After Co doping, the absorption edge of the material shifted, and appropriate doping levels were found to narrow the visible-light bandgap while broadening the visible-light response range. With increasing Co doping content, the inhibition rate of Co/BiVO4 on the Fv/Fm stress in cyanobacteria reached 93.3%within 40 minutes. Both BiVO4 and Co/BiVO4 exhibited higher inhibition rates toward Y(Ⅱ)than toward Fv/Fm.Radical trapping experiments demonstrated that·O2-acts as the primary active species responsible for the inhibition of Fv/Fm and Y(Ⅱ)in algal cells, while h+showed the least inhibitory effect, and·OH exhibited a moderate contribution.
