Abstract:Building upon the spatial consciousness in The Book of Songs and The Book of Changes,Liu Xie identified the spatial qualities inherent in the natural attributes of"Feng"(Wind)and"Gu"(Bone). He extended these concepts into the realm of literary aesthetics, forming the"Feng-Gu"theory.The significance of the"Feng-Gu"theory extends beyond theoretical discourse;it embodies a practical force that shapes literary practice, functioning as a spatial framework intervening in the reality of literary creation. This theory has exerted profound influence on subsequent literary composition and criticism.
