Lefebvre on the Structure of Space Production
XIAO Mengzhe
Abstract：Lefebvre's theory of space production offers an ideological anchor for postmodern theories, especially post-Marxist theories,in understanding space and inspires the post-Marxist critical trend regarding urban-space.Based on Lefebvre's"Trinity"theory and spatial history,by analyzing the ideological origin of Lefebvre's space production theory, that is,Merleau-Ponty's body phenomenology,German dialectics and linguistics as well as their intrinsically correlated logics, the structure of Lefebvre's space production theory is examined.
