WEI Xinyue
Abstract:Sam Shepard's Family Trilogy is mainly set in the family, emphasizing the realism of sets, costumes, and sound, placing characters in realistic spatial positions,in which all main conflicts took place in specific locations and scenes. In this paper, the structuralist binary opposition analysis method is used to discuss the duality of man and environment, features of characters, character image building and theme in Sam Shepard's Family Trilogy,in an attempt to arouse people's thinking about the value of life and the essence of human existence.
