The Impact of Digital Economy on the High-quality Development of Henan's Manufacturing Industry

Abstract：Based on the panel data of 18 prefectures and cities in Henan Province,the level of digital economy development and the level of high-quality development of manufacturing industry in Henan Province are measured by using the principal component method and entropy weights method.The results of the study found that:the digital economy significantly boosted the high-quality development of manufacturing industry;the level of digital economy development and the level of high-quality development of manufacturing industry in 18 cities in Henan Province show an upward trend as a whole,but the regional differences are huge.The results of the mediating effect show that the human capital,technological innovation,and the rationality of the industrial structure are the most important channels for digital economy to drive the high-quality development of manufacturing industry in Henan Province.
