Research on the Impact of Business Environment on FDI in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yellow River

Abstract：The business environment reflects the attractiveness,productivity,and competitiveness of a city's development.A favorable business environment is of significant importance for high-quality economic development.This article studies the relationship between the business environment and foreign direct investment in the middle and lower reaches of Yellow River by analyzing panel data from five provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River from 2003 to 2022,using the Error Components Generalized Least Squares method and establishing a regression model through Eviews software.The results show that in order to optimize the business environment in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and attract high-quality FDI so as to promote high-quality regional development,efforts should be made to increase the degree of opening up,improve infrastructure construction,attract talents,and improve the ecological environment,among other aspects.
