Abstract:In order to explore the mechanical performance of the steel plate concrete composite underground group tank wall during the construction backfilling process, this study carried out field tests in an actual underground group tank project, and analyzed the lateral earth pressure of the group tank wall during the filling process and the stress variation law of the circumferential and vertical steel bars. The results show that under the action of earth pressure, the whole tank wall is in a state of compression, and the maximum circumferential and vertical stresses are located in the middle of the tank wall. The stress of the vertical reinforcement of the tank wall is greater than that of the ring reinforcement, and the maximum stress is about 1.5~2 times that of the ring reinforcement. The measured values of earth pressure are 0.49 times,2.01 times and 6.32 times of the passive earth pressure, static earth pressure and active earth pressure obtained by theoretical calculation, respectively. In order to ensure the safety of the underground group tank structure,it is recommended to use passive earth pressure as the design earth pressure.
