Abstract:The peach fruit borer(Carposina nipponensi)is one of the important pests that damages the fruits of hawthorn. In order to prevent and control it effectively, this paper studied the occurrence pattern of the insect on hawthorn trees and clarified the trapping effect of types, hanging height, and hanging quantity of attractants on adult peach fruit borers. The results showed that peach fruit borers occur 1-2 generations per year, and there is mainly one peak of occurrence on hawthorn trees.Around August 1 0th is the key period for prevention and control. There was no significant difference in the trapping effect among the three lure types. The best trapping effect was found at 2 meters, and the number of lures had no significant effect on the trapping number of the insect.
