International Experience of the Protection of Minors from the Internet

Abstract：The Internet is an important learning,entertainment and social tool for contemporary minors,and its influence on their daily life and socialization continues to rise.While the Internet brings convenience and high-quality content,it also brings many risks in terms of personal health,family relationships,value formation,social interaction,etc.The international community has formed"three major theoretical schools"for the protection of minors on the Internet,namely,self-regulation,government regulation and cooperative regulation.Based on this,it is proposed that China accelerate legislation in the protection of minors from the Internet,vigorously carry out technology research and development,pay attention to education on proper use of Internet,and give full play to the education and guidance role of families and schools.
