The Intellectual and the Traditional Culture of the May Fourth Era ——Taking Hu Shi and Fu Sinian as an Example

Abstract：The may fourth era is the era of discipline in China.It is also an era of talented people after the end of the 19th century early 20th century in China. The intellectuals, who defected from the traditional into the west, the study of western civilization, in an effort to transform Chinese society development. This article namely take"Hu Shi"and"Fu Sinian"for examples throughout their lives.From traditional education to the youth as a young boy who defected from the traditional to the twilight return tradition, to analyze between the May 4th intellectuals group and the traditional culture of the era of the complicated relationship.
