Study for Calculation of Slope Reliability Based on MPSO Method

Abstract：Drawing on the concept of hybrid genetic algorithms, it is introduced to standard Particle Swarm meth-ods (Particle Swarm Optimization, PSO) to form Mixed Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO). This method not on-ly improves global searching ability, but also advance the rate of convergence and computational accuracy, and is used to calculated reliability index and corresponding check points. Taking one typical slope for examples, com-paring to other methods by first example, it is showed that MPSO method has higher precision, more fast conver-gence speed than standard PSO, while analysis the effect caused by each control parameters in algorithm on reli-ability index;The results show this method is good to solve the reliability analysis problem with highly nonlinear performance function, is scientific and feasible and has good application prospect.
