A Review of the Research of Cohesive Devices in Academic English Text

Abstract：Cohesion has been the focus of multi-dimension text construction and the analysis of second lan?guage text quality in second language text production. This paper begins with the definition of cohesion and makes an analysis of the research content and view, research method and theoretical framework of cohesive devic?es in academic English text production. At last, we summarize the research trend of cohesive devices in academic English texts and predict the future tendency, which serves as the basis for the researchers’useful attempt at studying cohesive devices in the future.
