The Rewriting Study on Lin Shu's Translation of Aesop's Fables

Abstract：Aesop's fables was not only an enlightenment teaching material to instill the concept of good and evil to the readers, but also an education book of life,"the questioning words of vegetations and animals"in the book could reflect the truth in life through short allegorical story. Lin shu intended to translate this meaningful allegory through the method of the article layout so as to wake up the national, furthermore, the rewriting theory of Andre. Lefevere made a good explanation of this phenomenon. But there is no specialized article to study the rewriting phenomenon of Aesop's fables from the level of Lin shu's article layout. Therefore, from the level of the rewriting theory, this paper tried to analyse how Lin shu's method of article layout embodied the poetic during the process of his translation.
