Abstract：The Remote City by shen congwen and the Moon Reflected in Rivers by xiao lihong are similar nov?els, which describe the pure native rural life. This paper tries to find similarities and differences between Taiwan and the mainland's local cultural psychology, explore the thinking on both sides of the writer in the moderniza?tion process of the reconstruction of cultural changes.
