An Analysis on the Architectural Layout of Zhushan Academy in Huizhou

Abstract：Zhushan academy, as a representative among fifty-four academies at six counties in Huizhou built in Ming and Qing dynasties, consists of Society buildings and gardens. Based on its historical evolution, the archi?tectural layout and construct forms are analyzed, further the elements of Zhushan academy gardens are explored to study the typical feature of ancient academies in Huizhou by taking Zhushan academy as an example.
