Design of Electric Energy Meter Based on New Transverse Hall Device

Abstract：In this pape the working principle and deficiency of the existing transverse Hall sensor is analyzed, and a new type of transverse Hall device is introduced. By using the new type of transverse Hall device in electric energy measure, a new type of electric energy meter based on new transverse Hall device is designed. The measurement of electric energy is more accurate and the error is smaller by using the new type of electric energy meter compared with the traditional one. Especially in the case of the load current is small, the new type of electric energy can overcome the inaccuracy of the traditional meter.
