The Analysis of the Basic Characteristics of Western Liberalism and Enlightenment

Abstract：Western liberalism has produced various schools and divergences in the course of development. However, with careful comparison and consideration, different thoughts have in common on the ultimate concern for man, the exploration and discussion of economic system, political security, cultural psychology, and the reform and development mode on society. Analyzing and exploring these basic characteristics, it gives us some inspiration and reference value for the socialism modernization construction with Chinese characteristics.
