Study on the Sensibility of Welding Cold Cracking about Steel 20MnMo

Abstract： The implant test of welding cold cracking was adopted in this paper to study the sensibility of welding cold cracking about steel 20MnMo.The testing results presented that if electrode is E6015-D1 and heat input is 15KJ/cm,the critical stress (σcr) of steel 20MnMo is 180MPa at room-temperature.If the preheat temperature is 150℃, σcr is 300MPa. That is to say, the preheat technology can obviously improve the weldability of steel 20MnMo. This study has important theoretical and practical meaning in assessing the weldability of steel 20MnMo.
