Dual Shackles of Talent and Prostitution --A Study on the Image of Xie Tianxiang
Abstract：This paper using the close reading method attempts to focus on the characteristics and the mental world of Xie Tianxiang, the heroine of Guan Hanqing＇s Zaju QianDayin ZhiChong Xie Tiexiang, as to examine the cultural meanings hidden beneath. Through a study on the image of Xie Tiexiang, this paper tries to observe the complexity of the character based on the individual＇s unique emotion and universal humanity, furthermore to discuss lifestyle of prostitutes and common problems of the time.
