Transitivity Analysis of the Report on the Work of the Government -- From the Perspective of SFG
Abstract：From the perspective of SFG, this paper, by the means of qualitative method, conducts a transitivity analysis of the report on the work of the government. The data are from the report on the work of the government, made by premier of the State Council at the Fifth Session of the Eleventh NPC on March 5, 2012. This study not only provides us with the proof that the transitivity system of the SFG can be applied to the analysis of report on the work of the government, enhancing the practicability and universality of this theory, but also could make us gain a better and deep comprehension of the discourse pattern and its features.
