Research and Application of Integrated Technology for Safe Intelligent Collaboration in Open-pit Mining Excavation and Stripping Operations
Abstract：The mining process of open-pit coal mines in China is generally dominated by the discontinuous process of single bucket and truck. There are about 6,000 excavators, 30,000 trucks, 3,000 drilling rigs, and 20,000 various auxiliary equipment operating simultaneously across the country, with approximately 150,000 drivers employed. The annual excavation and stripping volume is about 7 billion cubic meters, equivalent to the earthwork volume of 60 Three Gorges Dams. The number of personnel and equipment, as well as the total volume of excavation and stripping projects, are all ranked first in the world. The efficiency of excavation and stripping is only 62% of that abroad, and the overall level of safe and efficient mining is relatively low. There are mainly three reasons for this.
