Abstract：Since the State Council's eight ministries jointly issued the 'Guidance on Accelerating the Development of Intelligent Coal Mines' in 2020, the construction of intelligent coal mines across the country has entered a rapid development phase. Industry management departments, coal-producing provinces, associations, and coal enterprises have continuously reached consensus and promoted the mechanism guarantee for the construction of intelligent coal mines. Enterprises inside and outside the industry, including research institutions, universities, and application units, have collaborated to tackle key challenges, accelerating the development of intelligent technologies and equipment, giving full play to the core supporting role of technology and equipment. A number of technologically advanced and leading intelligent demonstration coal mines have been built, achieving substantial progress toward the goals of reducing personnel, increasing safety, improving quality, and enhancing efficiency. The well-being of coal mine workers has been further improved, and the role of coal in ensuring China's energy security as a 'ballast stone' has been further strengthened.
