Application of Automated Monitoring Technology in the Stability Assessment of Metro Tunnels
Abstract:To ensure the operational safety of metro tunnels, this paper studies the application of automated monitoring technology in tunnel stability assessment. By establishing a multi-source sensor monitoring network, devices such as fiber Bragg grating sensors and three-dimensional photoelectric sensors are deployed to monitor tunnel structural deformation, stress-strain, and surrounding rock pressure parameters in real time. An evaluation index system containing three dimensions—safety, serviceability, and durability—is constructed, and the stability assessment is conducted based on a fuzzy neural network model. Application in a metro tunnel project in Shanghai shows that tunnel structural deformation is significantly affected by changes in groundwater level, with a maximum cumulative settlement reaching 15.8 mm, and the surrounding rock pressure increased by 25% compared to the design value. After reinforcement treatment, the settlement rate was controlled below 0.05 mm/d, and the accuracy of the evaluation model exceeded 90%. This automated monitoring technology system can accurately assess the stability state of tunnel structures and provide references for the safe operation and maintenance of tunnels.
