Research on the Evolution of Regional Economic Spatial Pattern in Guangxi Based on Statistical Yearbook Data
Abstract：The development of smart cities cannot be separated from a solid regional economic foundation. The continued existence and excessive expansion of regional imbalance can have adverse effects. In underdeveloped areas, the coordinated development of regional economy has a particularly significant impact on the construction of smart cities. This article takes the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in western China as the research object, constructs an evaluation index system for urban centrality in Guangxi, calculates urban centrality scores using entropy method and an improved gravity model, and evaluates the evolution characteristics of Guangxi's economic spatial pattern; it analyzes the spatial connection characteristics, interaction patterns, and hierarchical structure features of regional economy, and explores the economic connections and network relationships between cities within the region.
