Analysis of Co-treatment Technology for Municipal Solid Waste and Kitchen Garbage
Abstract:Incineration of municipal solid waste has significant advantages in volume reduction and resource recovery, but it also brings environmental pollution, high equipment investment, high technical integration requirements, and strict garbage classification requirements. Landfilling of kitchen garbage is simple and convenient, but it occupies a large amount of land and the leachate generated can pollute groundwater. This paper studies the co-treatment technology of municipal solid waste and kitchen garbage, analyzes the treatment technologies of municipal solid waste and kitchen garbage using material flow and energy flow analysis methods, establishes a co-treatment system, and evaluates indicators such as economic efficiency, energy benefits, and carbon emissions of different treatment systems. The results show that the co-treatment system has higher economic efficiency and energy benefits than the separate treatment system, and emits less carbon. Compared with separate treatment, the co-treatment of leachate and biogas liquid in the co-treatment process improves the energy recovery rate by 0.4%, reduces the cost per ton of garbage by 2.2 yuan/t, and reduces carbon emissions by 11.9 t.
