Design and Implementation of a Fire Facility Operation Status Monitoring Device Based on YOLOv5
Abstract:To address the potential impact of directly installing terminal devices on fire facilities to monitor their operational status, this paper designs and develops a fire facility monitoring device based on YOLOv5 object detection technology. The core objective of this device is to quickly and accurately identify the operational status of the fire system and provide timely feedback to improve regulatory efficiency. A specialized dataset was constructed, and the YOLOv5 model was trained to obtain a more efficient detection model. Subsequently, the model was optimized and converted, with the cost-effective RK3588 single-board computer selected as the core processor, combined with a high-definition camera to achieve real-time monitoring of the operational status of fire facilities. Experimental results show that the device can effectively complete the monitoring task of the fire system's operational status and issue alarms in a timely manner when abnormalities occur.
