Abstract:Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, and its pathogenesis is not yet fully clear. At present, researches suggest that immune abnormalities play a significant role in the occurrence and development of psoriasis.Interleukin-1β(IL-1β)is an important member of the interleukin-1 family and has a strong pro-inflammatory effect. In psoriasis lesions, the expression of IL-1β is significantly increased and plays a key role in the pathophysiological process. In addition, the polymorphism of the genes of IL-1β can affect its transcription and expression, and is closely related to psoriasis. In this paper, the research progress in relationship between IL-1β and psoriasis is reviewed.
