Application of Nursing Intervention Based on Adaptive Leadership Theory in Primary Caregivers of Children with Severe Pneumonia
Abstract:Objective: To explore the application effect of nursing intervention based on adaptive leadership theory in primary caregivers of children with severe pneumonia. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 116 children with severe pneumonia and their primary caregivers hospitalized in the pediatrics department of the author's hospital from August 2022 to August 2023 as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group using a random number table, with 58 cases in each group. The control group received routine intervention, while the experimental group received nursing intervention based on adaptive leadership theory. The improvement of clinical symptoms in the two groups, the level of knowledge mastery and caregiving ability of the primary caregivers were compared. Results: After the intervention, the duration of clinical symptoms and hospitalization time of the children in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group (all P < 0.05). The knowledge mastery and caregiving ability of the primary caregivers in the experimental group were better than those in the control group (t = 5.606, P < 0.001; t = 2.144, P = 0.037). Conclusion: Nursing intervention based on adaptive leadership theory can improve the comprehensive caregiving ability and knowledge mastery of the primary caregivers of children with severe pneumonia, promote the improvement of the children's symptoms, shorten the recovery time, and is worth promoting in clinical practice.
