Abstract：In nursing work, each experience is unique, shaping our professional ethics and hearts in different ways. Today, I would like to share a special nursing experience about a critically ill newborn. This newborn was transferred to our hospital from a health care center in Tongjiang County and eventually left the hospital safely and healthily in a family-style ward. This child not only faced life-threatening challenges but also came from an extremely complex family background—his mother is a person with congenital intellectual disability, and the family's economic situation is very difficult. This experience made me deeply realize the meaning of love and hope as a neonatal nurse.
