Application of BOPPPS Integrated with Scenario Simulation Teaching Method in Pre-employment Training for Nursing Interns
Abstract：Objective: To explore the application effect of BOPPPS integrated with scenario simulation teaching method in pre-employment training for nursing interns. Methods: A quasi-experimental study was conducted, selecting 55 interns trained from January 2022 to December 2023 as the control group, who received traditional theoretical lectures and operation demonstrations. Another 57 interns trained during the same period were selected as the study group, who were taught using the BOPPPS integrated with scenario simulation teaching method. The theoretical examination scores, operational skills scores, critical thinking ability, self-directed learning ability, and teaching satisfaction were compared before and after the intervention between the two groups. Results: After the intervention, the study group had higher scores in theoretical knowledge, operational skills, total scores of critical thinking ability and self-directed learning ability, as well as total teaching satisfaction score compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The BOPPPS integrated with scenario simulation teaching method can effectively enhance the theoretical knowledge, operational skills, critical thinking ability, self-directed learning ability, and teaching satisfaction of nursing interns, making it an effective teaching method suitable for pre-employment training, with potential for promotion.
