Application Progress of Photodynamic Therapy in the Treatment of Colorectal Cancer
Abstract：Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the common malignant tumors of the digestive system. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards and changes in lifestyle and dietary habits, the number of CRC patients has been increasing, becoming the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally [1]. Over 1.85 million new cases of CRC are diagnosed each year worldwide, with 850,000 deaths, and about 33% of patients develop metastasis during diagnosis or follow-up, while 40% of patients experience recurrence after treatment [2].
