A New Mutation Site of B-lymphocyte Kinase Gene in a Case of Maturity-onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY) in Young Adults
Abstract:Maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY) is an autosomal dominant monogenic diabetes, which is an endocrine disease with clinical, genetic, and pathophysiological heterogeneity. It accounts for 1% to 5% of all diabetes cases and 3.5% of cases diagnosed in individuals under 30 years old [1]. According to European cohort data, the global prevalence of MODY is estimated at 1–5 cases per 10,000 people [2].
