Research Progress on Tissue Acquisition Needles Guided by Endoscopic Ultrasound
Abstract:The endoscopic ultrasound-guided tissue acquisition (EUS-TA) technique can obtain images while precisely acquiring histopathological tissue samples, with high sensitivity and specificity, and a very low complication rate. Currently, EUS-TA has been widely applied in the examination of multiple areas such as the esophagus, stomach, mediastinum, pancreas, and liver, providing strong support for clinical diagnosis. With the rapid development of EUS-TA, various types of needle tips have been continuously developed, and there is also diversity in materials and sizes [1]. This article aims to combine the current research progress on the design and improvement of EUS-TA needles, analyze and discuss the limitations of current needles and their future development prospects, in order to provide some reference for clinical professionals.
