Research Progress on Bedside Assessment of Lung Reexpansibility in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Abstract:Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a common critical illness in clinical practice, characterized by heterogeneous distribution of lung injury caused by various factors such as trauma, burns, and infections. Alveolar collapse often leads to imbalance of ventilation-perfusion ratio in the corresponding lung units, which is the main cause of refractory hypoxemia in ARDS. The more alveoli collapse, the more severe the condition and the worse the clinical prognosis [1]. Evaluating the reexpansibility of the lungs in ARDS patients and improving the heterogeneity of lung tissue is an important strategy to improve the clinical prognosis of ARDS.
