The Role and Mechanism of Risk Factors of Hypertriglyceridemic Acute Pancreatitis in Glucose Metabolism Disorders
Abstract:Post-acute pancreatitis diabetes mellitus (PPDM-A) is one of the most common types of exocrine pancreatic diabetes (DEP). Acute pancreatitis (AP) has multiple causes, including cholelithiasis, hypertriglyceridemia (HTG), and alcohol abuse. In recent years, the incidence of hypertriglyceridemic acute pancreatitis (HTG-AP) has been increasing year by year, and the occurrence rate of post-HTG-AP diabetes (HTG-PPDM-A) has also risen, bringing a huge social and economic burden. Therefore, identifying the risk factors of HTG-PPDM-A and understanding their related mechanisms are crucial for prevention and treatment. However, current research on HTG-PPDM-A is limited. This article aims to explore the role and mechanisms of risk factors of HTG-AP in glucose metabolism disorders and its research progress, in order to provide directions for future research and clinical diagnosis and treatment.
