Exploration of the Application of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in Different Clinical Settings
Abstract：With the improvement of people's living standards and medical technology, human life expectancy has significantly increased, and population aging has become an important trend in the global age structure of the population [1-3]. Therefore, how to meet the health care needs of the elderly and provide comprehensive and reasonable screening, diagnosis, treatment, care, rehabilitation, and health services has become a prominent issue in the medical industry. Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) is a multidimensional and interdisciplinary diagnostic process that assesses the functional status and impairments of elderly patients. The results of CGA serve as the basis for multidisciplinary geriatric teams to develop treatment intervention plans. Geriatric assessments enrich the basic information of the elderly, allowing a comprehensive understanding of the health, functional issues, and needs of elderly patients.
