Early Orthodontic Treatment of a Case with Facial Asymmetry and Crossbite
Abstract:The main characteristic of facial asymmetry is the disharmony in the horizontal direction of the maxillofacial region, and its etiology and orthodontic treatment methods are relatively complex. Currently, there is still no unified conclusion on the influencing factors and clinical classification of facial asymmetry [1-2]. This article reports a case of early orthodontic treatment for facial asymmetry combined with crossbite. Through clear diagnosis and reasonable treatment planning, the use of conventional orthodontic appliances for early treatment achieved significant therapeutic effects, which can provide some reference for clinical practice.
