Promoting the Research on Etiological Classification and Clinical Stratification of Early-onset and Late-onset Preeclampsia to Seek Evidence-based Pathways for Long-term Development
Abstract:How to promote the research on early-onset preeclampsia (PE) and late-onset PE should not be confused by concepts, nor should we dig pits, step into pits, or fall into them. Whether in basic research, clinical research, or integrated basic-clinical research, it is necessary to combine etiological classification with clinical stratification. It should not be limited to a single gestational age point framework, nor should it be vague and broad in gestational age ranges. For the study of PE and early-onset and late-onset PE, starting from the complex network of etiological heterogeneity and clinical manifestations at multiple levels, we should provide accurate prediction, prevention, early warning, and diagnosis and treatment through appropriate and multi-dimensional cross-correlations. This will clarify the direction, make strategies clear, break through actions, deeply solve problems, seek evidence-based proof, and take a sustainable path forward.
