Application of Integrated TCM Intervention Based on the Three-Stage Theory of Ulcer in Postoperative Wound Healing of Hemorrhoids
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of integrated TCM intervention based on the three-stage theory of ulcers on postoperative wound healing in patients with hemorrhoids. Methods: A total of 110 patients with hemorrhoids who were admitted to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture from November 2023 to January 2025 were selected as the study subjects. They were numbered according to the admission order (1-110), and then 110 corresponding random numbers were generated using a random number table. Patients with even random numbers were assigned to the control group, and those with odd random numbers were assigned to the observation group, with 55 patients in each group. The control group received conventional Chinese medicine sitz bath intervention, while the observation group received integrated TCM intervention based on the three-stage theory of ulcers. The pain levels at different times after surgery, psychological status and sleep quality before and after nursing, wound healing indicators, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results: On postoperative day 1, 3, and 5, the NRS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After intervention, the SAS, SDS, and PSQI scores of the observation group were all lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After intervention, the scores for wound edema, granulation tissue growth, and wound exudation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Integrated intervention based on the three-stage theory of ulcers can significantly relieve pain, reduce negative emotions, improve sleep quality, accelerate wound healing, and reduce complications in patients after hemorrhoid surgery.
