Observation on the Effect of Fire Dragon Can Therapy on Spleen Yang Deficiency Type Gastrointestinal Dysfunction
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of Fire Dragon Can therapy on spleen yang deficiency type gastrointestinal dysfunction. Methods: A total of 60 patients with spleen yang deficiency type gastrointestinal dysfunction admitted to Quanzhou Orthopedic Hospital from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional drug treatment, while the observation group received Fire Dragon Can therapy in addition to the treatment of the control group. The intestinal sound frequency, TCM syndrome score, serum gastrin and motilin levels, and clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results: After treatment, the intestinal sound frequency and TCM syndrome score of the observation group were lower or less than those of the control group, while the serum gastrin and motilin levels were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Fire Dragon Can therapy for spleen yang deficiency type gastrointestinal dysfunction can alleviate clinical symptoms, reduce the frequency of intestinal sounds, and improve serum gastrin and motilin levels, without affecting clinical efficacy.
