Diagnostic Value of Platelet Parameters and Coagulation Four Items in Patients with Cirrhosis
Abstract:Objective: To explore the diagnostic value of platelet parameters and coagulation four items in cirrhosis. Methods: A total of 72 patients with cirrhosis who were treated at Ruijin People's Hospital from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2024, were selected as the observation group, while 72 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations during the same period were selected as the control group. All participants underwent testing for platelet parameters and coagulation four items. By comparing the platelet parameters [platelet count (PLT), platelet hematocrit (PCT), platelet distribution width (PDW), mean platelet volume (MPV)] and coagulation four items [thrombin time (TT), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen (FIB)] between the two groups, the application value of these indicators in cirrhosis was analyzed. Results: The PLT and PCT levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, while PDW and MPV were higher, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The PT, TT, and APTT levels of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, while FIB levels were lower, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in diagnostic efficiency (sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy) between the two detection methods (P>0.05). Conclusion: Compared with healthy subjects, patients with cirrhosis showed significant differences in platelet parameters and coagulation four items. Observing changes in these indicators can provide data support for the subsequent diagnosis and treatment of cirrhosis.
