Effect of Bushen Tiaogan Decoction Combined with Clomiphene Citrate on Ovarian Reserve Function and Spontaneous Pregnancy Rate in Patients with Ovulatory Infertility
Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of Bushen Tiaogan Decoction combined with clomiphene citrate on ovarian reserve function and spontaneous pregnancy rate in patients with ovulatory infertility. Methods: A total of 120 patients with ovulatory infertility treated at the 83rd Group Army Hospital of the People's Liberation Army from March 2020 to March 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 60 cases. The control group was treated with clomiphene citrate, while the observation group received Bushen Tiaogan Decoction in addition to clomiphene citrate. The clinical efficacy, changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, sex hormone levels, ovarian reserve function, ovulation rate, and spontaneous pregnancy rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate, ovulation rate, and spontaneous pregnancy rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, serum testosterone (T), luteinizing hormone (LH), and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the serum estradiol (E2) level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the endometrial thickness, diameter, and number of high-quality follicles were also greater in the observation group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Bushen Tiaogan Decoction combined with clomiphene citrate can effectively enhance clinical efficacy, alleviate clinical symptoms, promote recovery of sex hormone levels, improve ovarian reserve function, and increase ovulation rate and spontaneous pregnancy rate in patients with ovulatory infertility.
