Effect of Acupoint Injection Combined with Propofol on Stress Response in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Abstract:Objective: To observe the sedative effects and stress response of 0.2 mg·kg-1 propofol combined with acupoint injection at bilateral Yanglingquan, Danzhong, and Qichong points during the induction period of anesthesia for patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: Fifty patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy at Daqing Municipal TCM Hospital from January to March 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each with 25 cases. The control group received conventional anesthesia induction, while the observation group received acupoint injection at bilateral Yanglingquan, Danzhong, and Qichong points 30 minutes before anesthesia induction. The anesthesia process and medication were the same as in the control group after entering the operating room. The anesthetic effect, hemodynamics, sedation status, and serum indicators were compared between the two groups. Results: The anesthetic effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group, with statistical significance (Z=1.943, P<0.05). At the moment of tracheal intubation (T4), the mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), and rate-pressure product (RPP) of the control group were higher than those at 30 minutes before anesthesia induction (T0), but the MAP and RPP of the observation group were lower than those at T0, and the MAP, RPP, and HR of the observation group were lower than those of the control group. At 10 minutes after tracheal intubation (T5), the HR of the observation group was lower than that of the control group. At T4, the bispectral index (BIS) values of both groups were lower than those at T0, with statistical significance (P<0.05). At T5, the serum cortisol (Cor) and glucose (Glu) levels of both groups were higher than those at T0, but the observation group had lower levels than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupoint injection at bilateral Yanglingquan, Danzhong, and Qichong points at T0 can inhibit the stress response caused by tracheal intubation in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, but it has no correlation with the use of propofol induction dose.
