Diagnostic Value and Characteristic Analysis of Transabdominal Combined with Transperineal Ultrasound in Congenital Vaginal Atresia and Hymenal Atresia
Abstract:Objective: To explore the ultrasonic imaging characteristics of transabdominal combined with transperineal ultrasound in congenital vaginal atresia and hymenal atresia, as well as its diagnostic value. To clarify the ultrasound diagnostic approach and differential diagnosis, thereby improving the accuracy of diagnosis. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the ultrasonic images of 16 cases of hymenal atresia and 8 cases of vaginal atresia confirmed by surgery. Results: Among the 8 patients with congenital vaginal atresia, 7 were type I vaginal atresia, with normal cervical development, and the ultrasound showed large anechoic areas with dense echoes in the vagina; 1 case was type II vaginal atresia with poor cervical development, showing patchy anechoic areas with dense echoes in the uterine cavity and cervical canal, as well as anechoic areas with dense echoes in the pelvic cavity, and the right kidney was smaller. Observing the blood accumulation situation through the lower sagittal section: 5 cases were narrow and funnel-shaped; 2 cases were wide and cylindrical. Among the 16 cases of hymenal atresia, 1 had abnormal uterine development, a septate uterus, while the rest had normal uterine development, and functional endometrium was visible; 12 cases showed separation of the uterine cavity; 7 cases showed separation of the cervical canal, with the lower part of the sagittal section showing a wide, cylindrical shape, and one case was accompanied by urinary tract malformation. Conclusion: The ultrasonic imaging features of transabdominal combined with transperineal ultrasound in congenital vaginal atresia and hymenal atresia are characteristic, and the diagnostic accuracy is high, providing important basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
