Effect of Jiannao Xingcang Decoction Combined with Alteplase Thrombolysis on Neurological Factors and Cognitive Function in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of Jiannao Xingcang Decoction combined with alteplase thrombolysis on neurological factors and cognitive function in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). Methods: A total of 120 AIS patients admitted to Jiyuan City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to August 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each with 60 cases. Both groups received intravenous alteplase thrombolysis treatment, while the observation group also received Jiannao Xingcang Decoction treatment. The clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, neurological function, daily living ability, neuro-related biomarkers, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, NIHSS, serum levels of NSE, GDF-15, and GFAP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the MoCA, NCSE, BI, ADL scores, and serum levels of 5-HT and BDNF were higher in the observation group, with all differences being statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Jiannao Xingcang Decoction and alteplase thrombolysis shows significant effects in treating AIS patients, which can alleviate clinical symptoms, improve neurological function, regulate neuro-related biomarker levels, enhance daily living abilities, and does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.
