Clinical Effect of Liujun Yiwei Xiaowei Decoction Combined with Acupoint Patching in the Treatment of Helicobacter pylori-Negative Chronic Atrophic Gastritis
Abstract：Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Liujun Yiwei Xiaowei Decoction combined with acupoint patching in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori (Hp)-negative chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods: A total of 118 patients with Hp-negative chronic atrophic gastritis admitted to Xiamen University Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a combined treatment group (conventional treatment plus Liujun Yiwai Xiaowei Decoction and acupoint patching) and a conventional treatment group, with 59 cases in each group. The two groups were compared before and after treatment in terms of dyspeptic symptoms, pathological examination scores, laboratory indicators, immune function, clinical efficacy, incidence of adverse reactions, and recurrence rates. Results: After treatment, the combined treatment group had lower scores for all dyspeptic symptoms, pathological examination scores, serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, and IL-23, as well as CD8+ levels, total incidence of adverse reactions, and recurrence rate compared to the conventional treatment group. In contrast, the combined treatment group showed higher serum levels of pepsinogen (PG) I, PGR (PG I/PG II), gastrin-17 (GAS-17), CD3+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ ratio, and overall effective rate, with all differences being statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Liujun Yiwai Xiaowei Decoction and acupoint patching shows significant clinical effects in treating Hp-negative chronic atrophic gastritis, effectively alleviating clinical symptoms, improving pathological changes, inhibiting inflammatory responses, enhancing immune function, and reducing adverse reactions and recurrence.
