Effect of Zhike煮散 plus Trichosanthes kirilowii on patients with unstable angina pectoris and Qi stagnation syndrome
Abstract：Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Zhike煮散 plus Trichosanthes kirilowii on patients with unstable angina pectoris and Qi stagnation syndrome. Methods: A total of 60 patients with unstable angina pectoris and Qi stagnation syndrome admitted to Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the observation group received Zhike煮散 plus Trichosanthes kirilowii on top of the control group's treatment. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, laboratory indicators, and incidence of adverse reactions before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores, serum C-reactive protein (CRP), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). No adverse reactions occurred in either group. Conclusion: Zhike煮散 plus Trichosanthes kirilowii can enhance the clinical effect, alleviate clinical symptoms, inhibit inflammatory responses, improve lipid metabolism, and does not increase adverse reactions.
