Effect of Naoxintong Capsule on Acute Ischemic Cerebral Stroke and Its Impact on Hemorheology

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of Naoxintong Capsule on acute ischemic cerebral stroke and its impact on hemorheology. Methods: A total of 88 patients with acute ischemic cerebral stroke admitted to Anyang People's Hospital from November 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group (43 cases) and an observation group (45 cases). The control group received routine treatment, while the observation group received Naoxintong Capsule in addition to the control group's treatment. The clinical efficacy, levels of serum inflammatory factors, vascular endothelial function, hemorheological indicators, and serum neurotrophic factors were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum interleukin-6, interleukin-1β, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, plasma viscosity, low shear whole blood viscosity, and high shear whole blood viscosity in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum endothelin-1 and central nervous system-specific protein in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor, nerve growth factor, and endothelial nitric oxide synthase were higher in the observation group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Naoxintong Capsule can improve the clinical efficacy of patients with acute ischemic cerebral stroke from multiple aspects, including inhibiting the body's inflammatory response, improving vascular endothelial function, promoting the recovery of hemorheological indicators, and regulating the levels of neurotrophic factors.
